No such things call ( salad oil or salad source ) in English, we call it- salad dressing, Two kind of salad dressing. 1, mayonnaise base and 2. vinaigrette.
mayonnaise- look like a white, thick source which we can buy it in the sup. market.
vinaigrette- is a oil and vinegars mixture, 3p of oil and 1p of vinegar, you can use many kind of oil and vinegar such as olive oil, vegetable oil, red wine vinegar, cider vinegar, rasberry vinegar etc. You also can use lemon juice inst. of vinegar- 4p of oil and 1p of lemon juice.Yes…there is such a terms called \”SALAD OIL\” in Chanada and USA…and even you can see this terms in the cook book…or in the TV cooking shows.. You can buy that in supermarket too….Mostley make from Olive oil…and some people (mostly Chinese) call salad dressing as salad source (沙律醬)… this is a direct translation… also know as chinese or Hong Kong Style…some what like piano piano green (擒擒青) Do not forget this is a HONG KONG WEBS….
